Yaku Prince Rhododendron

As it’s name suggests it is covered in in soft silvery grey indumentum from its parent plant Yakushimanum in the summer providing great resistance to thrips! The compact growth habit and evergreen leaves gives structure to a garden or container for 4 seasons of the year makes it a winner for most gardeners.  This meter high rhodo is a profrolic flower of pale rosey pink flowers in late October.  It does require protection from the afternoon summer sun.
