Description
Rhododendron ‘Quick Flick’ is a named hybrid rhododendron developed by Ron J. Coker and registered with the New Zealand Rhododendron Association, bred from the parents Autumn Gold and Dido, which combine traits of vibrant colour and consistent garden performance.
As a medium sized evergreen shrub, ‘Quick Flick’ typically grows to approximately 1.5 metres in height, making it well suited to mixed borders, woodland settings, or as a feature planting. Its floral display is known for open trusses of bright and appealing blooms that appear in the mid to late spring season, adding garden interest after many early flowering rhododendrons have finished.
Like most hybrid rhododendrons, ‘Quick Flick’ thrives in acidic, well drained soils with partial shade to dappled sun and benefits from regular moisture and shelter from harsh afternoon sun. It can also provide evergreen structure in mixed shrub plantings year round.
Order Rhododendron ‘Quick Flick’ online today, or visit the RhodoDirect nursery to see this attractive hybrid in person and choose the perfect plant for your garden.

How to plant
All our rhododendrons are grown in pots, so you can plant them anytime, though autumn is ideal for encouraging strong root growth. Find the right spot based on your chosen rhodo, improve the soil generously with organic matter, gently tease out the roots, and plant shallow at or just below the original soil level. Finally, mulch well and water thoroughly to help your plant establish.

Care information
Rhododendrons are rewarding and easy to grow once their basics are right — most issues come down to watering, drainage, or planting depth. We recommend keeping roots cool and moist (but not waterlogged), planting shallow in well-drained acidic soil, mulching annually, feeding lightly in spring, and providing morning sun or dappled shade with shelter from harsh afternoon sun and wind.
