Description
Rhododendron Pink Sherbet – Soft Blush Blooms with Stunning Woolly Foliage
Rhododendron ‘Pink Sherbet’ is a delightful broadleaf shrub that offers year-round interest with its dense, rounded habit and gorgeous woolly indumentum on the foliage. This charming rhododendron produces reddish-pink blooms that gracefully fade to an almost white hue, creating a soft, eye-catching display in your garden. With a mature height of approximately 1 meter, it’s perfect for compact spaces, borders, or as a feature in a mixed planting scheme.
In spring, the shrub bursts into bloom, showcasing its delicate pink flowers, which stand out beautifully against the green foliage. Rhododendron ‘Pink Sherbet’ thrives in conditions with partial sun to mostly shade, making it versatile for different garden locations. It prefers well-drained, acidic soil that is rich in organic matter, and with regular watering, it will reward you with lush growth and consistent blooms.
One of the key advantages of Rhododendron ‘Pink Sherbet’ is its resistance to verticillium wilt, making it an excellent choice for gardeners seeking hardy, disease-resistant plants. Like many ‘yak’ hybrids (Rhododendron degronianum ssp. yakushimanum), this variety is known for its compact and dense growth habit, and the woolly indumentum on its leaves adds texture and beauty to the plant even when it’s not in bloom.
Whether you’re looking to enhance your garden with its soft blush tones or want to enjoy its dense, attractive form year-round, Rhododendron ‘Pink Sherbet’ is a wonderful choice. Visit our nursery to see this beauty in our display gardens, or shop online today to bring this lovely rhododendron home to your garden.

How to plant
All our rhododendrons are grown in pots, so you can plant them anytime, though autumn is ideal for encouraging strong root growth. Find the right spot based on your chosen rhodo, improve the soil generously with organic matter, gently tease out the roots, and plant shallow at or just below the original soil level. Finally, mulch well and water thoroughly to help your plant establish.

Care information
Rhododendrons are rewarding and easy to grow once their basics are right — most issues come down to watering, drainage, or planting depth. Follow our planting guide for a great start, prune as needed, mulch annually to keep roots cool, and feed lightly in spring for a spectacular bloom later in the year.
Keep an eye out for common issues like powdery mildew or thrip, and address them promptly. We have plenty of information on caring for your rhododendron, and if you can’t find what you need, we’re always happy to talk all things Rhodos. Find a full overview in our General Care Guide (link below).
