Description
Rhododendron Kalinka is a striking and neat Yak hybrid that is perfect for suburban gardens. This dense, bushy plant is known for its rose pink flowers, which feature a deeper rim and shade to yellow-green in the center, creating a beautiful and vibrant display. The bright pink blooms appear in November, adding a splash of color to the late spring garden.
Reaching an eventual height of 1 meter after ten years, Rhododendron Kalinka maintains a compact and tidy growth habit. Its resilience to thrips, thanks to its yak parentage (R. Margenrot x R. Mars hybrid), makes it a hardy and low-maintenance choice for gardeners. Additionally, this rhododendron is sun tolerant, allowing it to thrive in various garden settings, including sunnier spots.
Rhododendron Kalinka’s bright pink flowers are not dissimilar to those of Morgonrot (Red Dawn), offering a similarly vibrant and eye-catching appearance. Its compact size and dense growth make it an excellent choice for smaller garden spaces, borders, or as an accent plant.
Add Rhododendron Kalinka to your garden to enjoy its neat form, striking flowers, and robust nature. This beautiful and resilient rhododendron will bring lasting beauty and charm to your landscape.

How to plant
All our rhododendrons are grown in pots, so you can plant them anytime, though autumn is ideal for encouraging strong root growth. Find the right spot based on your chosen rhodo, improve the soil generously with organic matter, gently tease out the roots, and plant shallow at or just below the original soil level. Finally, mulch well and water thoroughly to help your plant establish.
