Freight

With our courier transport system, every box has a customised freight price. This means there isn’t one set rate for anywhere in New Zealand — and that’s great news for you. Each box is measured and weighed, your location in NZ is entered, and a tailored freight rate is created for your order. Through the use of our courier’s excellent online support system, we can predict the cost of freight for you with a high degree of accuracy.

With the change to our new courier provider, PostHaste, the freight cost now appears automatically at checkout on our website for your convenience. This makes it even easier to see your total cost before completing your purchase.

Our Courier Partner

We are currently using PostHaste as our preferred domestic courier. Freight per box works out most economically when purchasing either two or four plants, as this fills the boxes we create efficiently. The freight cost for one plant is generally the same as for two, and we can fit up to four 6-litre pots into one banana box, making shipping cost-effective.

Please note, courier freight is also governed by plant height, as PostHaste cannot accept anything over 1.2 metres. Occasionally this may mean selecting a slightly shorter plant for shipping, but rest assured — we always aim to send you the largest, healthiest plants possible. If there’s a significant size difference, we’ll always give you a call to discuss your options.

 

Bulk Freight
For larger orders of nine plants or more, the most affordable option is to send your plants by truck, particularly for deliveries north of Christchurch and to the North Island. We are currently using Rockeater as our preferred domestic/wholesale bulk courier. You can send between 9 and 21 plants for the same price, making this an extremely cost-effective option for larger landscape projects.
